Restaurant & Terrace
All guests are welcome in the common room, which also serves as a restaurant. Here you will find a library, a TV, tourist information and games. You can have refreshments through a self-service system, the “honesty bar”. Every day you can sign up for a delicious breakfast. On Tuesdays a common dinner is organized when there are min. 6 participants. New contacts are often made spontaneously during the meals.
The Round House
Monte Rosa has a beautiful round work space with heating in the clay plastered wall. Through the large windows (with double glazing) you have a beautiful view over the grape fields. Spontaneously, the name “Round House” was born. In The Round House various activities are offered, which guests can participate in. You can also book a massage there. If the space is not occupied you may get the key in the kitchen and do your own yoga or meditation there. Our ‘Round House’ is also for rent to organize your own small-scale workshop, training, meeting, reunion or other activity. Catering can be provided in consultation. For Children
There are plenty of activities for children in the Algarve. But also at Monte Rosa the youngest guests will not be bored. The grounds are inviting to explore, for example to build huts. There is a dressing up box and lots of games and books. The kittens can be petted and the kids can feed the chickens and grab fresh eggs from the coop. For city kids, this is often quite an experience! They can also help in the organic vegetable garden. Of course, many hours are also spent in the swimming pool, on the swing, the slide and on the soccer field.
The Swimming Pool
In Monte Rosa’s swimming pool (5x10m) you will find refreshment in the cool, salty water. You can relax on the comfortable wooden loungers with parasol or in one of the hammocks. The pool is also a real treat for children. We ask parents of inexperienced swimmers to always keep an eye out, the pool is unsupervised. During school vacations, we seek a balance between the noise that comes with children’s fun and respect for those seeking peace and quiet. Responsibility for enjoyable and safe water fun lies with parents. The depth of the pool slopes from about 1.30 to 1.80. At night you can swim by the romantic underwater lights.
