We had a wonderful relaxed week at this lovely place at Monte Rosa. Beautiful walks on the west coast and south coast and beautiful landscape of the Monchique, Picota walk. Good beds and a nice warm shower. Last but not least, the great breakfast Paulo made us every day! A place to remember and hopefully come back to.

After walking 7 sections of the Via Algarviana we took another (unplaned) day off and stayed for 2 nights. We enjoyed the atmosphere at this place between all the dutch peopple and are now ready to finish the track.

We had a wonderful 2 week stay at Monte Rosa last September. Our 3 year old boy was in heaven, following the cats around, feeding the chickens every morning and playing with his cars in the sand whilst we ate leisurely meals. There's a playground too. Sandra's cooking is really good, and superb value. The house we stayed in was rustic and pretty, with a terrace where we breakfasted every morning. We got to know some of the other guests, and that made it so much more fun than staying in a villa on our own. The area is fabulous, amazing, wild beaches on the West coast with a cooling breeze and big surf. We're hoping to go again this year. Thoroughly recommended.
