Monte Rosa is an ideal venue to organise your own workshop, training, reunion or other activity or retreat for groups up to 30 people (amount depending of the sort of activity). You can make a reservation for a part of the accommodation, or hire the entire complex, the beautiful working areas included. Full catering (vegetarian or with fish/meat) is available.

The activity room (called the "round house") is nicely situated in the Portuguese countryside, overlooking grape yards and fields full of almond, olive and fig trees. The outside wall is built in natural stone, the inside has a heated clay wall with double glazed windows and glass doors. The 10-angled roof is supported by an impressive wood construction. The building has a floor space of 10 meters diagonal (80 m2) and is covered with traditional tiles. Yoga mats, flipover, music equipment and video/dvd are available. Working tables and chairs can be supplied.

There is also a beautiful activity circle outdoors (aprox. 120 m2), shaded by huge eucalyptus trees. Here you can dance in the sand (ideal for a Biodanza workshop), have a djembé session, enjoy a quiet group meditation, practice Tai Chi, and so on. Electricity is available at the spot, so is music equipment.

The centre is an ideal location for programs in all fields of personal development, such as dancing, non violent communication, awareness training, body work, retreating, meditation, creative arts, music and counselling etc.

With its idyllic atmosphere, Monte Rosa can also be the perfect place to organise family reunions, weddings and other ceremonies or other private meetings. Fully catered group arrangements can be offered or you can rent Monte Rosa with the option of self catering and use of a professional restaurant kitchen. If you wish, we can help you with the set-up of a program in which also local activities and excursions can be added (like dolphins watching, canoeing, fado night, holistic horseriding, hiking, donkey ride, body-surf lessons, visiting markets and so on). The accommodation of Monte Rosa consists of 9 units of rooms and apartments, in which 13 persons can be hosted if everyone wishes a private space, 22 persons when using shared rooms, 30 persons when also using sofa beds or extra beds.

These are the options:
The venue can be rented exclusively or partly.

Option 1. Renting Monte Rosa entirely and exclusively

including all accomodation (except owners house), activity area indoor and outdoor, communal spaces, library, swimming pool, gardens, outside kitchen with BBQ, and so on.

This will cost, based on self catering:

high seasion: 800 € per day
mid season 700 € per day
low season 650 € per day

These prices are based on a group of maximum 22 people, for whom the beds will be prepared with linen. Towels are provided. For each extra person we charge 15 € per day.

From the 1st of October until the 1st of April it is possible to rent the professional restaurant kitchen and prepare your own meals, costs are 50 € per day. This needs booking well in advance.

Also Monte Rosa can take care of all the catering: 3 meals will cost 35 € per day, breakfast (buffet) and dinner 25 € (1/2 l of wine 3 euros extra), breakfast + packed lunch 14€. Coffee, tea and biscuits/cakes cost 1 € per person per serving.

We certainly advise the option of exclusivity for larger groups because of the privacy it offers.

Option 2. For groups from 10 people and up

we charge 60/55/50€ (main/mid/low season) per person per day, based on shared rooms, use of activity areas inside and outside, breakfast (buffet) and dinner , use of swimmingpool, library, etc. For a private room we charge a 25 € suplement per day. For coffee, tea and biscuits/cakes during breaks 1 € is charged per person. Midseason: October, March, April and 20 Dec - 4 Jan, Lowseason: 1st November till 28th of Februari.

When you are not sure if you get a group together that is big enough to rent exclusively, this can give you more flexibility. Meals can be served seperate from the other guests that may stay at Monte Rosa.

Option 3. For groups smaller then 10

Prices of accommodation are according to the regular pricelist. The renting of the activity centre will cost 25 € for 4 hours, 50 € per day or 300 € per week. You can also take the option of paying 30% of the total income of the workshop fee. For non-profit organisations there are possibilities for a discount, please contact us.

Catering.

If you wish Monte Rosa can take care of the total catering in any way you like it.
Breakfast is usually served as selfservice buffet with freshly made juice, warm bread, all kinds of cheeses, variety of egg recepies, butter, home made marmalade, muesli, fruits, yogurt, soyamilk or regular milk, coffee and tea.
For lunch we can do soups and salads with rolls, vegetable snacks, cheeses, etc. Also a packed lunch is possible if you go out for the day.

Dinner is usually served in three courses, a healthy but tasty soup or starter, main menu can be vegetarian or with fresh fish or meat, served with lots of salad and/or vegetables, and always there will be a surprising desert.

During breaks we can supply you with tea (herbal, green or regular), coffee and some nice (sometimes home made) biscuits and cakes. Also juices and water can be supplied.

Please contact us to combine your wishes and we can still discuss prices concerning catering, depending of the complexity of the meals you require. Also we can arrange transport and reservation for your group to go out for lunch or dinner to one of the lovely local restaurants, that we can suggest. (Traditional Portugues with or without (Fado) music, Thai Cuisine, Indian curry, Sushi night, international beach restaurant etc.)

Transport to and from the airport can be arranged by Monte Rosa or we can help you get car rentals at the airport, either station wagons or nine seater busses.

50% 1 month before start activity

In case of cancelation all deposits are not refundable

If you wish to rent Monte Rosa entirely we advice to give notice well in advance!
