By air. Faro is the nearest and most convenient airport although guests sometimes fly to Lisbon.

Transfer service. Monte Rosa has a transfer service from Faro to Lagos and v.v. The cost is 60 euros. You will be met at the airport and greeted with a signboard (please inform us beforehand of your flight details).

Public transport. There is a train service from Faro to Lagos. The journey takes approximately 2 hours, sometimes with a change at Tunes. Tickets are inexpensive. We advise you to take a taxi from the airport to the train station. On arrival in Lagos you can telephone to be picked up from the station, we will be there in 10 mins., cost 7 euros. After 20.00 hours please take a taxi.

Rent-a-car. Monte Rosa guests usually rent a car in order to be mobile to survey the area and do shopping etc. We can arrange attractive rates for you. Again, you will be met at the airport with a signboard and you can pay either by cash or credit card, (no desk, no deposit).

Route. Leaving the airport, follow signs to the highway (A22) direction Lisboa/Portimão. Keep following Portimão, then Lagos/Sines. The highway ends at the exit Bensafrim (after Lagos). Turn right at the roundabout. You will pass the village of Bensafrim. Directly after the village (where the road bends to the left), you turn right into the direction Barões. After a few kilometers, just before the zoo, turn left into direction Lagoa da Rosa. Follow this track and turn then left at the end. You will find Monte Rosa shortly after on your right hand side.
