Groups

Monte Rosa offers the use of a beautiful round purpose built building (with heating in the floor and the walls) for groups, organised workshops, training and other kinds of meetings. It is nicely situated in the Portuguese countryside, overlooking grape yards and fields full of almond, olive and fig trees. The outside wall is built in natural stone, the inside has a heated clay wall with double glazed windows and glass doors. The 10-angled roof is supported by an impressive wood construction. The building has a floor space of 10 meters diagonal (80 m2) and is suitable for groups up to 30 people (depending on the space needed for each specific workshop). Besides this indoor working space, there is a also beautiful area outside, shaded by a huge eucalyptus tree.

 

The centre is an ideal location for programs in the field of personal development, communication, awareness, body work, retreating, meditation and creative arts. With its idyllic atmosphere, Monte Rosa can also be the perfect place to organise family reunions or other private gatherings. Fully catered group arrangements are offered or you can rent Monte Rosa with the option of self catering. If you wish, we can help you with the set-up of a program in which also local activities and excursions (like dolphins watching, canoeing, holistic horseriding, hiking, body-surf lessons, visiting markets and so on) can be added. The accommodation of Monte Rosa consists of 9 rooms and apartments, in which 10 persons can be hosted if everyone wishes his or her private room, and 20-30 persons when using shared rooms. The venue can be rented exclusively or partly.

Prices

There are 3 options:

Option 1. For groups from 10 people and up we charge 80 € per person per day, based on shared rooms, use of activity centre inside and outside, 3 good meals in our restaurant, coffee/tea during workshop, use of swimmingpool, library, etc. For people who don't mind to sleep in a dormitory (6-8 persons) we charge 65 € per day. For a private room we charge a 20 € suplement.

Option 2. For groups smaller then 10: Prices of accommodation are according to the regular pricelist. The renting of the activity centre will cost 50 € for 4 hours, 100 € per day or 600 € per week. You can also take the option of paying 30% of the total income of the workshop fee. For non-profit organisations there are possibilities for a discount, please contact us.
A group with a minimum of 8 people, that will be using the activity centre, will get a discount of 50% of the activity centre.



Option 3. Renting Monte Rosa entirely and exclusively (including 9 living units, activity room, communal spaces, library, swimming pool, gardens, outside kitchen and so on) will cost 750 € per day, based on a group of maximum 22 people. For each extra person we charge 15 € per day. From the first of Octobre until the first of April it is also possible to rent the restaurant and professional kitchen and prepare your own meals, costs 60 € per day. In this case you need to book well in advance.
We certainly advise this option for larger groups of the privacy it offers.
